THE OLFACTION

To reflect the creative ambiance of luxury of the 24 RUE DE L’UNIVERSITÉ ateliers and the immaculate purity of their white wood paneling, the Principal Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin has chosen a couture material, drawn from one of the most coveted trees in the world. The most sensuous of exotic woods, sandalwood gives off a very characteristic creamy, ambery and slightly sweet scent.

The precious wood’s leathery facet is bolstered by a velvety suede accord. Clean, polished cedar structures these voluptuous, comforting notes. Wisps of precious incense accent this peaceful atmosphere of artistry and craftsmanship.

THE INSPIRATION

When the Yves Saint Laurent studios moved into the palatial 17th-century private mansion previously known as the Hôtel de Sénecterre, the event marked the return of the house to its historical roots on the Left Bank of Paris. Designed by architect Thomas Gobert -- the building planner of King of France, Louis XIV – the building had previously been a Ministry. In this place of creativity, the collections are imagined, designed, and come to life. The majestic rooms and gardens of the hôtel particulier have also been used for fashion shows and to shoot advertising campaigns.

Le Vestiaire des Parfums is the unique haute parfumerie wardrobe that inherits the style and spirit of Yves Saint Laurent. An olfactory interpretation of the couturier’s iconic pieces, materials and emblematic addresses, crafted by the most renowned perfumers.

YSL 24 Rue de L'Université Eau de Parfum belongs to the woody and leather fragrance family, distinguished by a blend of dry woody notes, suede, and warm oud. The fragrance opens with oud and cypriol, offering a warm, dry sensation with a hint of smoke. This is followed by cedarwood and a suede accord, creating a soft, warm, and deep scent. Finally, sandalwood spreads out, leaving a smooth, pleasant feeling with a warm, lingering woody aroma on the skin.
The three-layer fragrance structure is as follows:

Top notes: Oud, Cypriol (Nagarmotha).
Middle notes: Cedarwood, Suede Accord.
Base notes: Sandalwood.

Flammable until dry. Keep away from flames and heat. Avoid spraying in eyes.

Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Return Conditions

1.1 Refusal upon delivery: Upon receipt, please inspect the exterior of the package (box condition, packaging, seal) before signing. The carrier does not support open-box inspection upon delivery. You may refuse the delivery if:

The packaging or shipping box is torn, dented or damaged;
The seal has been broken or is not intact;
The number of packages does not match your order.

1.2 Issues found after opening the package: As open-box inspection is not available upon delivery, you may request a return or exchange for issues that can only be identified after opening the package, including:

Manufacturing defects;
Wrong product or shade delivered compared to your order;
Missing quantity, accessories or gifts with purchase;
Product damaged inside the package.

Request timeline and method: Please contact Customer Service within 5 business days from the date of successful delivery, with available proof (photos or video of the shipping label, packaging condition and the unboxing process).

Non-eligible cases: Apart from the cases stated in sections 1.1 and 1.2, YSL does not accept returns or exchanges, including:

Products that have been unsealed and used;
Requests for personal reasons (product not suitable, change of mind after purchase);
Requests submitted after the 5-business-day period stated in section 1.2.

2. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 45–60 business days from the date the delivery is refused or the return request is confirmed.
